Developing Effective and Appropriate Decodable and Leveled Books (CIES 2018)
Appropriate design of reading materials facilitates the learning process, supports classroom instruction and promotes independent learning, provided that the content of the materials is appropriate for the context, as well as the age and reading level of the student. This panel, presented at the annual conference of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), shares experiences and best practices related to the development and use of decodable and leveled texts for use in early grade reading programs.
