Reading in Fragile States, Part 2
Violence. Exclusion. War. These are just some of the situations children in fragile states face. July's Global Reading Network webinar series spotlights the critical issue of how to teach children to read in such difficult environments. The earlier event on July 5, 2017 provided successful examples from a global perspective. The July 19th webinar focuses on reading on a local level, Pakistan. The webinar features panelists Shahida Maheen of the Pakistan Reading Project and Dr. Kimberly Smith with the International Rescue Committee. The discussant is Daman Bozdar of the USAID Pakistan Mission.
