Everything You Ever Wanted to Know Book Production: Webinar on Paper, Part 2
This webinar is the second in a series covering four major aspects of book production: paper, printing, binding, and distribution/shipment. The series is offered by Burda Druck, a large German book and magazine production company, who has brought together major players in paper and book production to provide expert knowledge and insight.
In Part 1 on Paper, Burda Druck discussed ethical supply chains and sustainable, renewable resources for paper making, and paper choices for textbooks. In Part 2, they will go over the specifics of paper making, how a paper machine works, and how paper can be re-used or recycled. Additionally, the webinar will cover the characteristics and properties of paper and their huge impact on the whole textbook chain (printing, binding, delivery and distribution)--as well as the overall cost for this process.
