International Mother Language Day Celebration

Celebrate International Mother Language Day with the Global Reading Network!

As education stakeholders continue to invest resources in improving literacy instruction and education quality generally, increased attention is being paid to the use of mother tongue, or familiar languages, from how children are taught to reading them to implications for education policy and planning. Recognizing the need for opportunities to dialogue about these issues, in celebration of International Mother Language Day the Global Reading Network invites you to an in-person and online learning event featuring speakers engaged in language- and literacy-related work.

Participants are invited to bring their experiences and ideas to discuss and share. Lunch will be served to those attending in person. If you plan to attend in person, please RSVP by February 17, 2017 by clicking on the link below.
