REACH training on early grade reading program design and implementation

This event will provide an opportunity for facilitated learning and sharing with colleagues. Sessions will include:

  • Introduction to early grade reading improvement: Rationale, core components and cross-cutting issues
  • Key early grade reading skills to teach and learn
  • Early grade reading instruction and classroom-based assessment 
  • Language considerations in EGR programs
  • Resources for teaching and learning early grade reading
  • Teacher and educator professional development in EGR programs
  • Coaching to support EGR improvement
  • Planning for early grade reading program design, implementation, scale up and sustainability

Cross-cutting issues, including gender equity, inclusive instruction, and use of technology in EGR programs will be integrated throughout.

Times will differ by day.

Lunch will be provided the first three days. In-person participation only.
