USAID Education Policy Released

The USAID Education Policy, released in November 2018, provides an Agency-wide vision and direction for supporting partner countries in strengthening their capacity to deliver quality learning opportunities for children and youth. The Policy makes it clear that the primary purpose of USAID’s programming in education is to achieve sustained, measurable improvements in learning outcomes and skills development. The policy lays out 6 principles that drive decision-making and investments in education programming. It also lays out 4 priority areas that define the key areas for programming and investment that are critical to supporting countries on their journey to self-reliance.
