African Research Database Offers Resource for Educators

The African Education Research Database (AERD) offers a curated collection of more than 2,200 peer-reviewed studies with implications for education policy and practice conducted by researchers based in sub-Saharan Africa. It includes more than 100 studies relating to literacy, which may be of specific interest to Global Reading Network members.

The AERD, developed by the REAL Centre at the University of Cambridge in partnership with Education Sub Saharan Africa (ESSA), aims to raise the visibility and impact of research and researchers from sub-Saharan Africa, and promote greater contextual understanding for everyone involved in education in Africa.
