On July 13, the Center for Universal Education at Brookings is holding a public event in Washington, D.C. to discuss results and learnings relating to the world’s first development impact bond in education. The impact bond provides financing for Educate Girls, a nonprofit that aims to increase enrollment for out-of-school girls and improve learning outcomes for girls and boys in Rajasthan, India.
The event will feature program partners and will explore experiences of key stakeholders, overall learnings and potential recommendations for others considering engaging in this innovative funding mechanism. The event will take place from 10 AM to noon on July 13; for those who can’t attend in person, online participation will be available.
