Submission deadlines are fast approaching for two All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development (ACR GCD) grant competitions. January 19 marks the deadline for submitting applications for the Book Boost: Access for All Challenge. Sponsored by ACR GCD and Pearson’s Project Literacy, Book Boost seeks to support innovation in publishing to increase the supply of quality, accessible book titles.
Meanwhile, February 16 marks the application deadline for ACR GCD’s Sign On for Literacy competition, which seeks technology-based innovations to increase access to sign language materials and literacy interventions for deaf children in low-resource contexts. The competition is held in collaboration with the World Federation of the Deaf, the Nyle DiMarco Foundation and Deaf Child Worldwide.
Established in 2011, ACR GCD is a partnership bewteen the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), World Vision and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
