As part of the ongoing effort by Reading within Reach (REACH) to support early grade reading improvement globally, during the Summer of 2019 the initiative hosted a five-part online professional development series: Early Grade Reading Program Design and Implementation: Best Practices and Resources for Success. This series of two-hour “short courses” focused on major components and critical issues in early grade reading programs. Topics included resources for teaching and learning early grade reading, key EGR skills and strategies for effective instruction and assessment, language considerations, and professional development.
The EGR webinar series was designed with the diversity of EGR program stakeholders in mind, and for programs at different stages of implementation. Links to materials from all webinars in the series can be downloaded from the GRN website.
