The Global Partnership for Education (GPE) has announced a call for expressions of interest to select regional learning partners (RLPs) for its Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) initiative. Implemented by Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), KIX offers a new way to connect the expertise, innovation, and knowledge of GPE partners to help developing countries build stronger education systems, thereby accelerating progress towards achieving SDG 4.
KIX consists of four regional hubs where country partners will come together to share information, innovation, and best practices, as well as a funding mechanism that provides grants at the global and regional levels to invest in knowledge generation and innovation, and to scale proven approaches. The two components will be supported by an online platform.
Each regional hub will be managed by a regional learning partner. These organizations will convene decision makers and education stakeholders virtually and face-to-face to discuss policy challenges and responses, produce knowledge syntheses, support knowledge sharing and learning, and lead knowledge mobilization. RLPs will also help develop funding calls at the regional level.
GPE seeks individuals or organizations to run one of four regional KIX hubs. For more information, visit this page on the IDRC website. The deadline for applications is August 21, 2019.
