Global Reading Network Webinars in May Address Materials and Technology in Reading

As part of its ongoing efforts to provide members of the Community of Practice with valuable professional development information, the Global Reading Network (GRN) will offer two webinars in May spotlighting the topic of materials and technology in early grade reading, which is becoming an increasingly important topic globally. 

The first webinar will look at programs operating at a global or national level.

Date:   Wednesday, May 10th

Time:  10:00 – 11:00 AM (EDT)

Description: Three speakers will present on programs from their organizations: Zev Lowe from Worldreader, Purvi Shah from Pratham Books, and Melody Zavala from the Asia Foundation.  Deepa Srikantaiah of GRN will moderate the webinar.  Listeners will have the opportunity to submit questions to the speakers.

The second webinar will focus on the opportunities and challenges of using materials and technology at the local level.

Time:  9:00 – 10:00 AM (EDT)

Description: This webinar will allow participants to discuss local level opportunities and challenges for using materials and technology in reading programs. Watch the GRN website for further details about speakers and topics as that information becomes available.
