Global Reading Network's July Webinars Focus on Early Grade Reading in Fragile States

As part of its ongoing efforts to provide members of the Community of Practice with valuable professional development information, the Global Reading Network (GRN) will offer two webinars in July spotlighting early grade reading in fragile states, which is becoming an increasingly important topic globally.

The first webinar will take place on Wednesday, July 5th, from 10:00 – 11:30 AM (EDT). Susan Hirsch-Ayari from Creative Associates International will present an overview on the opportunities and challenges around implementing reading programs in fragile states. Margaret Sinclair of USAID’s Education Crisis and Conflict Network will be the discussant. Dr. Deepa Srikantaiah of GRN will moderate the webinar. Listeners will have the opportunity to submit questions to the speakers. Register here for the July 5th webinar.

The second webinar takes place on Wednesday, July 19th, from 9:00 – 10:00 AM (EDT). Participants will discuss local-level opportunities and challenges for implementing reading programs in fragile states. Watch the GRN website for further details about speakers and topics as that information becomes available.
