UNESCO invites applications for this year’s ICT in Education Prize, which revolves around the theme “The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to innovate education, teaching, and learning.” The 2019 prize will honor programs that use AI-powered solutions to: 1) enhance education; 2) improve learning outcomes; and 3) empower teachers.
Nominated programs should be ongoing for at least six months and meet the following criteria: 1) be relevant to the year’s theme; 2) be innovative, specifically in the application of AI; 3) demonstrate measurable positive and sustainable impact in the lives of the targeted beneficiaries; and 4) provide evidence for potential replicability and scalability. All projects/programs should be nominated by a National Commission for UNESCO or a nongovernmental organization that is in official partnership with UNESCO. Learn further details here.
