Reminder: Global Reading Network Benchmarking Event Is June 27th


Monday, June 25th, marks the deadline for registering for in-person attendance at the June 27th event sponsored by Reading within Reach (REACH) and the Global Reading Network on "Early grade reading benchmarks: Methods, experiences and future direcctions." The event will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM EDT at the University Research Co. office in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

This in-person and virtual event will feature presentations and discussion around methods for identifying early grade reading (EGR) benchmarks, and experiences and outcomes to date using them. The event will include a conversation on the needs of practitioners and policymakers who are developing and using benchmarks, and future directions for research, analysis and application. Presentations will include:


A standardized approach to data-driven oral reading fluency benchmarks
