Activist Malala Yousafzai and actress Charlize Theron are among the celebrities supporting a new campaign demanding action to help girls around the world get an education. The two are part of the new #GirlsCount program launched by the ONE Campaign.
Through the program, people from all over the world are filming themselves saying a number between one and 130 million in order to spotlight the number of girls worldwide who are currently out of school. The videos, including those done by the celebrities, will be woven together into a single film in hopes of convincing world leaders to more strongly support girls’ education.
