World Bank Set to Launch Global Platform for Successful Teachers

Recognizing that teachers are the single most important driver of how much students learn, the World Bank is unveiling the first-ever open source classroom observation tool. At the same time, the World Bank is initiating a discussion on the best ways to attract, prepare, engage and support teachers to ensure learning for all.

On January 31, from 10 a.m. to noon at World Bank Headquarters in Washington, DC, the World Bank will launch the Global Platform for Successful Teachers. The event features ten speakers representing the World Bank, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Center for Global Development, Inter-American Development Bank and Stanford University.
