Georgia Primary Education Project

To support the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science’s goals, USAID’s Primary Education Project facilitates significant improvement in literacy, numeracy, and business skills learning outcomes for children in Grades 1 to 6 in Georgian and ethnic minority schools. Implemented by Chemonics, this project seeks to improve educational instructions and standards, expand the use of instructional materials and formative assessments, and build the capacity of Georgian teachers to deliver new math, reading, and business skills instructional approaches. It also boosts parental and community engagement in schools and introduces business skills to primary school students by building linkages between the private sector and educational institutions.
