Abstract (200 Character Limit) :

The Deeper Comprehension 101 guide was originally developed to be used by Save the Children Country Office staff in supporting teacher trainers and teachers to improve their reading comprehension instruction. It includes an introduction that defines reading comprehension and its importance, and it details how to conduct 101 child-centered activities that focus on building vocabulary, fluency, or reading comprehension strategies.  The goal is to ensure that all early grade teachers/volunteers have a toolkit of activities that can be integrated into their existing curriculum and/or after-school activities to strengthen children's reading comprehension abilities.
