Abstract (200 Character Limit) :

The Early Grade Reading Graduate Certificate (currently in academic approval process) will be the first university program that focuses specifically on early grade reading in developing countries. The Center for International Education (CIE) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is developing this 15-credit, fully online graduate certificate program for practitioners and policy makers working on early grade reading reform projects. The five-courses that comprise the certificate provide state-of-the-art professional development on the basics of early grade reading and project development to project personnel around the world.
