Abstract (200 Character Limit) :

This Experts Meeting discussed improving literacy learning outcomes for students with different types of disabilities and included panel discussions from experts in the field of literacy and learning for students with disabilities and from donors and international practitioners in education and inclusive education. The goal of the meeting was to discuss effective teaching techniques that support literacy and learning and how these instructional approaches and supports can be applied in low- and middle-income countries. These discussions also helped inform the USAID Toolkit to Promote Literacy for Students with Disabilities as well as the World Bank’s future programming on disability and learning outcomes.
