Abstract (200 Character Limit) :

The objective of this presentation was to provide participants with information on the use of incentives and accountability to improve early grade reading programs.  The presentation was prepared for the USAID Office of Education, Bureau for Economic Growth, Education, and Environment (E3), for a webinar hosted in Washington, DC, September 18, 2014.

The research presented was carried out under two USAID programs: Education Data for Decision Making (EdData II), led by RTI International; and Reading and Access Evaluations, led by NORC at the University of Chicago. The webinar was funded via EdData II; Reading and Access Evaluations; and the USAID-supported Global Reading Network community of practice, managed by University Research Co., LLC (URC).
