In this final session of a November 2018 series on Early Grade Reading Program Design and Implementation presenters wrapped the 6-part series by discussing "From conception to scale: Program design, expansion and sustainability." Members of the Global Reading Network community of practice heard about:

  • Using data and information to inform project design and implementation
  • Considerations for program scale-up and sustainability
  • Characteristics of effective scale-up efforts
  • Creating an environment to support EGR improvement efforts
  • Working with government to strengthen an education system's capacity to support and sustain EGR initiatives
  • Partner roles and responsibilities throughout the EGR program cycle
